Mixed-media prints on silk, chiffon, and velum. This body
of work offers an intimate view into the artist’s studio practice, where
material exploration becomes a form of thinking, and process itself
becomes a kind of portraiture. Trained across sculpture, printmaking,
photography, drawing, and painting, the artist approaches each medium
as a distinct voice—fluidly shifting between them to build a layered visual
language.
Printed on delicate, translucent fabrics and delicate paper, these works
carry an inherent softness and permeability. Images appear to hover within
the material, held lightly rather than fixed, allowing light, air, and
movement to become active participants in the work. Many pieces
incorporate hand-printing, dye processes, and layered mark-making,
resulting in surfaces that feel both ephemeral and tactile.
The collection includes fragments of larger investigations: sculptural fiber
experiments, textile-based prints, photographic studies, and pages drawn
from sketchbooks. Together, they form an archive of becoming—a record
of gestures, tests, and intuitive decisions that foreground the artist’s hand
and process. These works resist finality, instead embracing flux,
experimentation, and the quiet intelligence of making.
