1 in the Same

This relief print was inspired by color relationships, Jamaican heritage & the relationship
between my mother (as the eldest daughter) and her siblings. This was my first varied edition, where I wanted to experiment with how colors interact in a print. This edition opened up material. specificity in my practice, where the medium & materials are very significant to the work.

Linoleum is a reductive medium that allows a lot of freedom to have fun and build a
composition. Here, it allowed me to be present and learn from “happy mistakes”.
